Cleaning/Maintenance

So for those who have not heard, and for those who check this board, it sounds like we will be trying to work on tuesday and Wednesday after school, the original plan was for friday, but we don't have school then, so please try to make it these days, we will be doing a general picking up of the booth, and also cleaning all of the lights, along with at some point giving a focus in the catwalk.

Yaaaaay!!! Cleaning! I'm in both days. I'll have to stop by and get supplies tomorrow afternoon.

What got done today?/How much are going to need to finish next week?

I don't know exactly how many lights we cleaned, but there are four left backstage and the six up in the catwalk that still need to be cleaned. So we still haven't gotten to the fresnels, pars, or resetting the catwalk.
Hallerman: Would you actually consider having your tech class clean the pars and fresnels? 'Cause I'm not sure how much time we're going to have to do it next week.

I'd be wary of having the class clean them, I suppose I could say the same about us, but I trust us more cleaning them that I do the class.

I think next week should be fine on time, we need to discuss design next week, and get something solidified, but I think we'd have enough time, the smaller lights are faster to clean.

We have all the lekos cleaned short of the ones in the catwalk....so 5?? I think?? and the S4's of course. I'm with Nate on the cleaning idea. By the time I teach them how not to ruin lamps and all that, a couple of us could have the lot of them cleaned. Especially the pars and fresnels since they ARE easier to access.

What are we going to do with the catwalk anyway?? Are we just going to do a quick stage lighting for the next couple weeks?? then start moving things as we design around them?? Probably a good idea just in case the VL's get hung up at Gopher. If I can get them there on the 13th, I see no reason to not have them up and running after spring break. Gopher is usually pretty timely on their repairs. Especially since he has a slot reserved for us starting that Friday.

We probably have to do a quick stage focus, and then we can adjust again for the play, I don't think we can go much longer without any normal stage lights, and also like you said, just in case the VLs don't get back in time.
