| Who is willing to and/or available to work at Sadie's this next Saturday, the commitment would probably be, set up on Friday and then get there a little early on Saturday to make sure everything is still working, if set up on Friday is not possible, we will have to set up on Saturday. So right now, you have to have a fairly flexible schedule. Max 2 people. We get anymore than that, it will start to crowd and (not to be mean) you will just be in the way. I will be there, so if anything explodes I can jump in, and I may try to come and run it for a bit, but we'll see. | |

| I think I can swing it, and Merrett expressed interest. Woohoo. | |

| Curious about the title thing. I'll check if I can change that in the Admin panel. If anybody wants any specific songs, let me know. The social/dance committee gave me a short list of newer songs, but I'll add all week. (If iTunes quits being a pain!!) Nate: Make a complete list of gear so we don't forget anything. We can't run to the chapel quick to pick something up for this gig. And let's bring a few extra supplies just in case. If you all don't know my motto in audio: "Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it." Also, here is a link to EMI's rental page and some of the lights we can get: http://www.emirentals.com/emirentals/soundsystemrentals.htmlI rented the Quad Gem LED and the Mystic LED under LED Effects Lighting. The dance before that I rented two Revo III's The Intelligents are hard to judge, but I'm sure they are pretty cool. Looks like all Martin's which are rock solid. We used those with Instant Request last year. Pick your effects lighting and I'll go reserve them Monday. Pick backups just in case I can't get them. I don't think I want to drop the money on the moving heads. Maybe for prom. If we get the clear for the Hazer, we'll throw a Laser in. Mr. H | |

| Ok, I'm gonna wait to make a list of gear, till I know what we have, so I'll put it together early next week.
Intelligents would be hard to do, it would take a lot more programming before hand, plus an easier board to program with, so maybe for later on, but it wil be a lot more work.
The Revo Roll and Scan look kinda neat, but yet again it looks like more programming, but I'm not sure, not many dmx channels on it, it might be worth trying one of those, but yes the Quad gem and the Mystic worked well, they would be good to get again, how many are you thinking of getting?

| Well, I usually get 3 since I have that one Trance Wheel from American DJ. That works great for slower songs unless you put the rotation on and leave the thing on so the color gels can change. I would say the Quad gem, the mystic, maybe a Revo III or laser and the Trance Wheel. OR if we leave mine out of the mix, we'll do a gem, mystic, Revo and laser. Most of the light trees hold 4 effects lights easily so thats a good balance of price vs. lights.
If we're planning this much ahead, we'll discuss light ideas for different songs. I like to bring different effects in and out for different tempos and songs. i.e. when you have a down tempo moment in a techno song you drop all the motion lights and do what the trance light does and slowly shines over everyone....and when the actual up-tempo beat hits we hit them with all the strobes and motion. We might have to spend a few minutes this week planning out the playlist and light show. If we plan it right or work out light cues for certain styles we can streamline it and it will be pretty cool.

| The more the merrier. For the dance at least. We'll limit how many people are running things.

| I was asked to post the address of Columbia Manor, so here it is:
3300 Central Ave. NE Minneapolis, MN 55418
Nate: I am going to rent lights tomorrow and we should take a quick trip to South to get the gear from Mr. Bestland. I sent an email to the staff at Columbia Manor to see 1. if I can go check out the space and 2. when we can bring stuff in. If possible, I'd like to bring it there Friday, even if we have to store it and setup Saturday. Even if we can have a plan sketched out by Friday evening, it will help in setting things up Saturday afternoon.
Meg, you and Merrett still in to run things??? We can discuss more tomorrow at rehearsal.
Bill has volunteered to help with setup/transportation as well.

| Nate,
Out of curiosity, are you thinking of programming the LED/FX lights separately? or are you going to daisy chain them?

| Okay, so I'm in for Saturday. I don't know how long I can stay and help with setup on Friday, though. Kyle and Leah: I think the max number of running people is two. Kyle says he has a math project but could maybe come. Leah says she has college applications but could maybe come. ... Can either of you come? | |

| So, I agree that we only need two people for lights. However......
I mentioned this to most of you today, (I think) that I'm going to bring both my video cam and my Rebel still camera for footage of this. Mr J and Mr. Dinardo were talking about getting some pics of this so we'll do them one better. If any of you are good with either camera and would like to spend a little time saturday taking some footage/pics, let me know. I don't want to do the whole show obviously, but want to get a good representation of the night.

| I don't really want to take pictures (I'm a terrible photographer), but is there any chance I could nab some of them for the yearbook...? | |

| I might be able to grab a camera for a bit and get some pictures, I'm not that great with a camera so a quick crash course may need to happen, but I could probably do that at some point.
side note: Thank you for fixing the white text, the black is a lot easier to see.

| Bill Mather- Who is talking in third person at the moment is willing to use a camera and Bill can. Bill can take pretty good pictures. Just show Bill Mather the camera and Bill can figure out how to push the button and take a picture. | |

| Bill, I have no doubt that you have the ability to push a button on a camera- or I should hope so, anyway. But it takes just a bit more than that to take good pictures.
Also: When should Leah and I show up tomorrow? And how late will strike be going?

| Just a note of thanks to all who helped setup for the dance on Friday and strike on saturday night.
Thanks to Meg and Leah for running lights (and taking pictures) on saturday.
....and Bill for keeping some not-so-bright people from climbing all over our one light tree.
