OK, so now that we're back, things are going to happen at a rapid pace over the next month or two. Here are the upcoming events, their basic needs and what I see to be problems or possible pitfalls.
-Showcase: Jan 24th Once again, I haven't heard of any problems, so I'll stick with the "no news is good news" mantra.
-Sno Daze dance: Jan 31st. Yes, I once again get the job of DJ'ing, although this time it's on campus in the gym. Anyone interested in helping out, let me know and we'll get a plan together for it.
-Madrigals: Feb 7/8 I don't think I need to elaborate. There is a meeting Thursday morning with Ms. Solberg, myself and a couple more people involved in the logistical side of things so I can get more specific after Thursday.
-Bellare Teatro: Feb 20/21 I was just in contact with the leader of this group today. So far this is what I know: Her lighting designer is a senior in high school and won't be there for the show or the rehearsal. Don't ask me how that works, but it'll be interesting. We need to provide people to run sound and lights. This might actually be a paid position since it's a rental. I'll double check on that, but those interested, let me know. One of the big downsides to this gig is the turn around so we can have the shell set for concert rehearsals monday morning. We are currently trying to negotiate having part of the shell up and leaving two of the towers out so they can hang their backdrop. I'm also going to try and have as much of the concert lighting up, depending on their light design. I'm trying to avoid an all nighter that saturday.
-If we make it that far successfully, we are into play rehearsal time in the third week of March.
